Children’s City

To conclude the 200th jubilee year, Helsinki City Museum will be handing over the city’s oldest building to its youngest residents. The former Children’s Museum and School Museum will find a new home in the Sederholm House at Senate Square.

The new Children’s City offers a fun and interactive journey to the past for the whole family. Visitors will have the opportunity to find out more about the history of childhood, run an 18th century shop, sit at a historic school desk, try their hand at puppet theatre, dress up as a “school ma’am” and visit a 1970s-style home.
